A dream is not enough. Values must be transformed into institutions, methods and ways of making decisions. Societies must become capable of learning from experience, correcting their mistakes and using both human and artificial intelligence without surrendering human responsibility.

The Learning Society explores how democracy, science, technology and collective intelligence can be brought together to address increasingly complex global challenges.

Traditional political systems were largely created for a slower and less interconnected world. Today, societies must respond to climate change, technological transformation, migration, inequality, war and ecological instability — challenges that cross national borders and cannot be understood through a single ideology or area of expertise.

"From opinions to insight.
From data to wisdom.
From greed to trust."

The learning society is not a finished political system. It is a society that continuously asks:

The central resource of the future will not be information alone. It will be the ability to transform information into shared knowledge, knowledge into responsible decisions and decisions into new learning.
